The General Regime grew by 2,317 people (0.02%), with noteworthy growth in Education (up 24,859 people), Trade and Repair of Motor Vehicles (up 19,585 people), Construction, (up 9,770) and Manufacturing Industry (up 8,362 people).
The Special System for Agricultural Workers posted an increase of 17,936 contributors (up 2.4%), to stand at a total of 766,182 average contributors. The Special System for Domestic Workers grew by 1,818 contributors (up 0.42%) to stand at a total of 429,897 workers.
In contrast, the greatest decline was posted in the Hotel and Catering Sector, with 85,884 fewer contributors in November.
3,166,188 contributors were registered under the Regime for Self-Employed Workers, following an increase of 626 (up 0.02%). 1,304 fewer people were registered under the Regime for Seamen (down 2.11%), as is habitual at this time of year, to stand at a total of 60,585. Finally, the Regime for Coal Workers has an average of 3,665 contributors following a decrease of 19 people (down 0.51%).
By autonomous region, affiliation rose in the Region of Valencia (30,904), Andalusia (21,604), the Region of Madrid (20,651), the Region of Murcia (5,707), the Canary Islands (4,063), the Basque Country (3,576), Catalonia (2,576), Melilla (228) and Ceuta (124).
The total number of people registered with the system amounts to 17,223,086
In year-on-year terms, the system included 527,335 more contributors in November (up 3.16%), the highest figure since 2006 (592,393). Specifically, the General Regime posted good results, with 482,630 new workers (up 3.57%).
It should be noted that the rate rose by 1.48% under the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers, which translates into an increase of 46,136 workers. The Regime for Seamen fell by 1.64% (down 1,007), while the Regime for Coal Workers posted a decrease of 424 contributors (down 10.36%).
Compared with last year, the number of workers has increased in all provinces and autonomous regions. Particularly noteworthy are the Balearic Islands (up 4.95%), the Region of Murcia (up 4.37%), the Region of Valencia (up 4.18%), the Region of Madrid (up 3.94%) and the Canary Islands (up 3.47%).
