Self-employed may hire workers maintaining the reduced self-employment quota of 50 €.

Self-employed and entrepreneurs are the forefront of the economic and employment recovery in our country and one of the most important measures introduced by the government to stimulate the creation of self-employment was to let new self-employed people (“autonómos) to pay reduced monthly self-employment fees .

The 50 Euros monthly quota for the first two years for self-employed people has been one of the most effective measures that has boosted the sector and it is estimated that over 250,000 people have benefited from these grants . However it had certain absurd restrictions such as the inability to hire workers but it seems, as announced by the Labor Minister a few days ago, the new self-employed individuals that are paying the reduced fee will be able to hire workers and keep enjoying the reduced monthly quotas.

Recall that this rate could be maintained for two and a half years for those under 30 years and 18 months for the rest as we already informed in previous news in our blog (check here and here).

Was also instructed to remember that from day one the government has placed self-employment as a "priority" of its roadmap. What she forgot to mention it is perhaps also the self-employed people have suffered an increase in the tax burden in a short time, for example, professionals have seen increased its retention rate from 15 to 21%.
A measure that was transient, which was to last a couple of years, but today it has not seem to have an expiration date, and it would not hurt to remind the Minister, sure is a welcome move by the collective though perhaps not so much by his colleague Montoro.the Tax Minister.
